I loved the location. There were food options across the street and within walking distance. I felt very safe, and no one bothered my car. Some people mentioned a casino - I think they're getting confused with the Boulder City Lodge, which has a casino. I did not see any casinos around Boulder Dam Hotel. The bed was memory foam. I don't normally care for memory foam mattresses, but it wasn't too bad. The room and bathroom were clean. The hotel is old, so the rooms and bathrooms are aged, but maintained and clean. The breakfast at 1933 was really good. I ate an omelet with time fries and liked that it was NOT greasy. The coffee was piping hot and smooth. They also poured me a coffee in a to go cup, which was much appreciated before hitting the road for 8+ hours. The morning desk lady also gave me some instructions on where to stop for gas, drinks, and snacks (and souvenirs), on my way out of town. I would stay here again.

Breakfast in Boulder Dam Hotel

Hotel and room met expectations. The staff, especially Bonnie, exceeded expectations. All staff were extremely polite. Staff in restaurant were great as well. Bonnie exceeded expectations because I left my California king pillow at the hotel and live in the Reno area. I called and asked if they could just mail the pillowcase to me (since it was part of a set) and they could discard the pillow (I needed a new one anyway). Bonnie was prompt and verified they had my pillow and sent the pillowcase to me the next day at a very reasonable price. Customer service plus! Museum was interesting. Thanks again so much!

Good, traditional hotel. Lots of history to it. The room was very nice. Standard refrigerator was great, especially with the extreme weather. The shower was the best we have had! Boulder itself seems to be well looked after and has a very nice vibe. Really enjoyed the breakfasts in the restaurant after a month of mainly Motels on our road trip. The history of the Boulder/Hoover Dam is very special. The people who worked there were very brave and should indeed be commemorated. We recommend the Dam museum housed in the hotel and to watch all the documentary.

it is a beautiful historic hotel in Boulder City, with numerous eateries and drinkeries right across the street. There is also a bar and a restaurant (breakfast and lunch) on site. On the second loo, where the rooms are, there is a lounge complete with large, comfortable chairs and a couch where guests can get free coffee and tea at various times of the day. Staff is most accommodating. The rooms, while small, are comfortable and nicely decorated. There is an art museum on site. I am impressed with the powers that be that they rescued the building and turned it into a real asset for the town by multi-purposing it while retaining the charm and character of a by-gone era.

Excellent location within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel was the starting point of a short but interesting walking tour in the historic downtown. Our room seemed to have been recently updated. Comfortable bed with nice cabana blinds overlooking the hotel patio. The room was not the biggest but it didn’t feel cramped at all with lots of room for our two huge suitcases. There was even a walk-in closet with a mini-fridge. There was a room with complimentary coffee and tea plus a drinking water station.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at this historic hotel. Parking was abundant and easy to find. The cozy building has two floors, with most rooms located on the second floor. Our room was small but functional, and the furniture was well-maintained and in keeping with the period style. During our stay, we visited the museum, which is open until 7 PM, and enjoyed drinks at the speakeasy, which featured live music. Coffee and tea are available in the common area.

Great location in a fantastic town. Dining available in site, bar with some free entertainment in the night we stayed. Nice area to walk around with plenty food and drink options. Room is small but clean and comfortable. Nice shower room, toilet etc. There is an elevator, free coffee and tea for most of the mornings and afternoon. Lovely museum with free entry but donations for upkeep are welcome. Historical building, creaky floors etc but that adds to the atmosphere. Fridge in our room, air con and a tv. We will certainly return.

Restaurant/places to eat in Boulder Dam Hotel

I liked the staff, the atmosphere, the style, and the warmth. The staff was kind, welcoming and helpful. I had a problem with the rental car, they helped me more than I expected. Breakfast is not included but it is very good.

Great spot to stay in Boulder City. Center of the city. Great breakfast at 1933 restaurant in the hotel. If you are going to the Hoover dam be sure to stop by Hemingway park before you go. It's not far and the big horn sheep are out in the morning.the last photo is from Cornish Pasty across the street from the hotel. Very filling and delicious, open until 10pm if you are getting in late and you're hungry. This is the chicken pot pie pasty.
